SACSCOC认证

奥古斯塔大学 is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges 和 Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the regional accrediting agency for the Southern U.S. states.

Along with the Vice President for 制度的有效性, who serves as the institution’s 认证 Liaison to the SACSCOC, the accreditation staff develops 和 maintains processes 和 support materials to assist 奥古斯塔大学 leaders 和 administrators with ongoing compliance with regional accreditation st和ards. 服务 apply to decennial reaffirmation of accreditation, the Fifth-Year Review, substantive changes, 和 any special requests from the SACSCOC. Specifically, the division provides the following services:

• Provides guidance to appropriate 奥古斯塔大学 units to ensure they are maintaining documentation to support the case for ongoing compliance when reporting to the SACSCOC is required.
• Communicates changes to the SACSCOC accreditation st和ards, policies, 和 guidelines to the appropriate University stakeholders.

SACSCOC工具包

The SACSCOC Toolkit is a module within Compliance Assist used to organize, store, 和 evaluate documentation 和 information related to the University's compliance with the SACSCOC 认可原则. Approved users of Compliance Assist have access to the Toolkit for submission, review, 和 validation of information related to their programs or departments.

实质性改变政策

奥古斯塔大学 is responsible for maintaining compliance with the SACSCOC Substantive Change Policy as a requirement of continued accreditation. A substantive change is defined as "a significant modification or expansion 的 nature 和 scope of an accredited institution." In accordance with the AU 实质性改变政策, any changes that are or are suspected to be substantive in nature must be reported to the Vice President for 制度的有效性, who is the Institutional 认证 Liaison (IAL), as soon as possible to determine what, if any, reports must be submitted to the SACSCOC for the substantive change.

Substantive changes are classified by the SACSCOC at two levels: changes requiring notification only 和 changes requiring approval prior to the implementation 的 change by the SACSCOC. Upon being notified 的 change, the IAL will work with the unit requesting the change to develop a plan to ensure the required procedures are completed 和 documentation submitted. The following types of changes may be considered substantive:

奥古斯塔大学的确认文件

2016年12月6日，SACSCOC再次确认了奥古斯塔大学的认证。 The University submitted the Fifth Year Report in Spring 2022, including an impact report on the Quality Enhancement Plan. The next reaffirmation 的 University's accreditation will take place in 2026.
